Contests, Interviews, and Holiday Happenings

It’s been a busy holiday season, to say the least.

As a school teacher by day, you get wrapped up in kids and their excitement for the holidays.  Our own 2 middle schoolers at home are busy cementing their Christmas lists and adding on to them as well.  On the weekends we’re out promoting the gift card platform to families in the Front Range of Colorado so that they know they have options this holiday season.

We made a connection with the Buzzy B near Colorado Springs area, but really they just find great deals for Colorado residents.  They are hosting a $50 gift card giveaway at : https://kingsumo.com/g/1gg9j61/50-go-explore-gift-card-yay-shopping

Be sure to check out their Facebook and Instagram to stay updated on deals and happenings in Colorado.

One of our favorite websites, Mile High on the Cheap, your answer for all things deals and events and just great news and information for kids and families in Colorado, posted an awesome article about the business here:

Dave Taylor, a Boulder resident, and trusted guy to turn to for electronic news and fatherhood advice (check out his website www.GoFatherhood.com) did a great post to his socials for us.  Thanks Dave!

Umbrella Local Heroes did an article about the business.  It was great working with Lola Beth on this one.

We sent out our fall newsletter to people who signed up.

Kids Out and About – Denver sent out a newsletter to their subscribers with a featured article about us.

Also, Macaroni Kid, your go to website for all things kids and families, posted an article for the South Denver locations, highlighting our business and giveaways.  And the Longmont/Frederick website had us sponsor their holiday guide.

It’s just been such a busy holiday, to say the least.  But it’s been an exciting time of the year!

We hope you and your family get the most out of your experiences during this magical time of the year.  When all else fails, grab the dog, get outside, bring some snacks, and find your place in the sunshine.  That’s how magical memories happen.

December Offer: Free $10 Gift Cards with a purchase of $50 or more!

This holiday season, we want families in Colorado to be aware that there’s a new platform for gift giving in town.  What better way to promote our gift cards than with free stuff, right?  So this December, if you purchase a physical or digital card of any value from $50 on up, you will automatically be sent a free $10 gift card.  Shipping is free, by the way!

Our gift cards make a great stocking stuffer for kids of all ages.  Don’t forget those teenagers as well that can be hard to shop for.  They enjoy escape rooms, axe throwing, and art classes as much as the rest of us!

Experiences make memories.  Let’s make some memories this holiday season with the gift of choice in experiences.

And when that kid comes down the block and offers to shovel your walkway – hand him or her that $10 gift card you got and tell them, “Thank you! and Happy Holidays!” and help spread the word that supporting local businesses is in the spirit of the season.

Bold Journey Article

After the Shoutout Colorado! article, I was also approached by Bold Journey to submit an article for them.  You can check it out here:https://boldjourney.com/meet-mike-moore-3/It’s so nice to be highlighted for some added publicity.  When you’re starting a business, you need all the help in community (on and offline) that you can get.  Reach out if you and your business should be nominated and we’ll be sure to put you in touch with those folks that are creating these online publications.

Colorado Experiences for as little as $5

The thing about gift cards is – it’s always a challenge to use every last cent of them.  It brings a certain satisfaction to spend that last penny though, and throw your gift card away (or hand it over to the cashier to respectfully repurpose or recycle it….we assume).

At Go Explore Gift Cards we feature experiences in $5 increments so that you can spend that last $5 on something to do, rather than let it go to waste.

Here’s what we suggest:

Head to Axe Me Out in Longmont and play unlimited arcade games for an hour!  Only $5!

Head to FourMile Historic Park and tour the historic sites and learn a little bit about Colorado from the past.  Just $5!

Or if you’re in Grand County you can head to the Cozens Museum, Pioneer Village Museum, Heritage Park Museum, or the Emily Warner Field Aviation Museum.  Each one only $5 to tour!

We have so many great experiences for kids here in Colorado.  Some for as little as $5 too!  So get out there and explore a new experience and make some memories in our great state.

Let us know if you have any other affordable ideas like this in Colorado that we can work to add to our gift card platform for kids.

New Look for the Website!

After much debate we decided that a website intended to be used by kids and parents probably should showcase the experiences and not the business logos.  Logos can only show so much.  They are interesting to look at side by side with other logos but they don’t share the whole story.  “A picture tells a thousand words” applies when it shows an excited kid hanging from trapeze compared to a logo.  We want kids to say to themselves, “I want to do that!” when looking through different experiences.  With images, something will call to you.  We always intended our platform to inspire wonderment, curiosity, and most of all excitement about interests and passions for kids.  We hope the new layout inspires those feelings in our users. Before and After:

Shoutout Colorado / Telling Your Story

I was recently interviewed by Shoutout Colorado which does snapshots of entrepreneurs and tells their stories.

Here is a link to that interview: https://shoutoutcolorado.com/meet-mike-moore-marketing-manager/

I would love to highlight some of your stories with photographs or videos of you or your child using a Go Explore Gift Card and making memories at one of many amazing experiences offered through our platform.  Drop us a line in the “Contact Us” form and we can share your experience in an upcoming post.

Happy Birthday Colorado Kids Everywhere!

This idea came about because of getting some friends of ours a gift of admission to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.  They appreciated the “experience” for their kids who already had so many toys.  Once kids get past 6 or 7 they start to get harder and harder to buy gifts for as they grow up and grow out of toys altogether.  Why not get them the gift of exploring their own interests through our gift card platform?  We are speaking to you – parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends of kids in Colorado!

Imagine what a kid could do with $20, $50, or $100 and where they would go and where they would spend it?  Kids are asked to write about this very topic for writing practice at school.  Some admissions are pricey and will eat up that entire $100 gift card (ziplines) while some places (like a museum) you could visit many times for $5 and not break the bank.  All of our offers are in $5 increments to make it easy for kids to use and always have an offer to use up all the money on their gift card.

So what kind of kid are you or do you have in your home?  A creative, active, or inspired kid, that’s who.  Well fortunately that’s for the gift card holder to decide.  You, as the gift giver, just have to give the amount you desire and say “Happy Birthday!” or “Congratulations on getting to middle school!” or whatever the special occasion is that you want to give a kid a gift.

From ziplines to museum entries to axe throwing to coding workshops to tours, trapeze lessons, theater shows, and more.  We’ve got a lot of great options and the list keeps growing.

Check out our map to see if we’re in your home town or at least within the distance of a short drive.  From Fort Collins to Loveland to Longmont, Boulder, Arvada, and all the way down to Colorado Springs and beyond we have an experience out there for you.  I hope you get the pleasure of either giving one of these experiences, or getting to participate in one yourself.

Exploring the Unknown

I remember being a kid and wanting to explore! Every day when I had the opportunity I would walk from my parents house, down a dirt lane, and to a neighborhood surrounded by woods in Virginia.  Those woods and the spaces between the houses of the neighborhood held countless moments of inspiration for exploration and excitement for my friends and me.

Our world is very different today.  More often than not today’s kids are driven to places to have fun, be inspired, or create something – usually with the help of a parent alongside them.  It’s not any better or worse, it’s just different.

If you are a business owner, and you’re looking to bring in more kids and their families, we offer the perfect solution.  Advertise your offer with us, for free, and we will try to bring in some new clients who would like to come to your place.  Given that kids with come with a parent or guardian, and most likely a sibling or a friend.  Those gift card holders, the birthday boys and girls, they are using our platform which business owners use as a way to market their services.  However, those joining the card holder are new clients and added value that comes along with choosing to partner with us.

For the clients – the kids, the parents, well they are probably aren’t aware that there is a great option for your kid to spend an afternoon right around the corner and you just didn’t have the time to research it.  That’s where we come in.  Did your kid get a $50 gift card from their grandparents for Christmas and wants to use it?  Let them scroll through the $20+ experiences on our website and explore their interests for something fun to do.

We are in the business of making memories with our easy gift solutions.  We hope you go explore new experiences with us.
